Within the framework of the IBA and BUGA, the study explores the potential of modular housing using different building typologies on two specific building sites. The typologies range from dense low-rise buildings to terrace houses and high-rise clusters. The modules are approx. 3m x 6m large, standardized, fully equipped room modules in reinforced concrete construction by the company maxmodul (Max Bögl).
The aging ability of the materials used, which change more or less quickly over time, plays an essential role. Patina and traces of use are deliberately planned effects that are allowed to develop over the years.
