2nd place in the competition “Wohnhöfe am ehemaligen Kasernenareal” (residential courtyards at the former barracks area) in the pioneer district in Klosterneuburg together with Land in Sicht landscaping.
The special concern of this project was the networking of inside and outside, of urban and private, of quality of life and sociability. The barracks grounds offer an optimal starting point here with their location between the railroad and the Danube branch.
People's needs shape our buildings. Therefore, the design of the everyday should be given a higher priority than the search for the special.

The aging ability of the materials used, which change more or less quickly over time, plays an essential role. Patina and traces of use are deliberately planned effects that are allowed to develop over the years.
